東椎屋の滝（English）

Higashi-shiiya Falls was chosen as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan.  It is also called "Kyushu Kegon" because it resembles famous Nikko Kegon Falls.  This impressive waterfall is 85 meters high and the waterfalls straight down from the clifftop.

The stream flowing out from the basin of the waterfall is also beautiful and boasts stunning scenery with dazzling fresh green vegetation in the Spring and vivid Autumn leaves in the Fall.
